Texans FC would like to extend its warmest greetings to all of you as we wrap up the holiday season. We trust that all of you have had an opportunity to rest, recharge, and reflect on the past year. We are grateful for all of the support that we constantly receive from our members. As we begin 2007, we are thrilled with the progress of the club, individual teams, and individual players.

U15 RED CHAMPS AT DISNEY

The Texans FC 15 Red recently returned home from the Disney Showcase in Orlando, FL with the 1st Place medal in the Predator bracket. The Disney Showcase has grown to be one of the top tournaments in the United States and attracts college coaches from all over the land. Congratulations to all the players. Your hard work truly paid off.

WINTER ACADEMY II

There is still time for any U7-U14 player to register for the Texans FC Winter Academy II. The camp will be held January 9-12 at Concordia Lutheran HS from 5:30p-7:30p. Visit www.texansfc.org for a registration form. Hurry!

U7-U10 SPRING ACADEMY TRAINING/GAMES

The Spring Academy will take on a new format in 2007. Now, players may register for one or two weekly training sessions and can also chose to play in Academy Friendly Matches on four Sundays during the Spring. These games will operate beneath Klein Soccer Club, while training and coaching will be done by Texans FC staff members. Visit www.texansfc.org for a registration form and more details.

TEXANS FC TEAMS WIN
GERMANTOWN INVITATIONAL

 

 Three Texans FC teams braved frigid temps and traveled to Memphis, TN where all three teams made the Championship game. The U16 Red and U17 Red teams were crowned Champions. The U18 Red made won their semi-final match, but travel plans would not allow them to compete in the final

ALUMNI NEWS

The Big Ten Conference names former Texans FC player Mauro Fuzetti to the Big Ten All-Freshman team in recognition of his outstanding inaugural season at the University of Michigan. Maura is a member of the Texans FC 87/88 Red Team, and a graduate of Stratford High School. For the season, Michigan was 7-10-4. Mauro scored 2 goals and collected 4 assists, good for second on the team.
