TEXANS FC WELCOMES FIVE NEW U11 TEAMS
The Texans FC family has grown in the past week as we have added five new U11 teams. These new teams were formed to compete in the new EDDOA 8v8 league that will compete this fall. The change is a great thing for young players and ensures more touches on the ball, and a more realistic approach to learning the game of soccer. 8v8 will certainly reward soccer players for good decisions and quality play and will not favor the fast athlete as much. Please welcome 'the next generation':

NICK DOIZE FUNDRAISING TOURNAMENT
|
Sunday June 10th, 2007 - Bear Creek Soccer Fields
|
| |
| Fellow soccer community members and friends, cancer has invaded our fraternity. We have all been saddened by stories of cancer victims but now there is a face to this story. A member of the Texas Premier Soccer Club, Nick Doize is 14 years old and has been stricken with an Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia that has relapsed into his Central Nervous System. He has been bravely fighting this vicious disease for well over a year now. Nick has battled through multiple chemotherapy treatments, and due to a recent relapse, will undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant. Nick is a wonderful kid and seeing him toil with this disease has personalized what cancer does to people, especially our young ones. It has made many of ask ourselves “what can we do?” Well, there is something that we can ALL do. |
| |
| As a way to contribute to an important cause and put a lot of feelings into action, we are proud and thrilled to be organizing the 6 v 6 Nick Doize Invitational Soccer Tournament. This tournament is being organized with two goals in mind. To join together and have fun on the soccer fields, but more importantly to help raise funds for Nick (and the thousands of other children) in his (their) fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and other cancers being treated at the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center which is part of the Texas Children’s Hospital. |
| |
|
We want and need your support in this effort. Our fundraising goal is $20,000 by June 30th. Any amount you can contribute is important and greatly appreciated. 100% of these collected funds will go directly towards Nick Doize and the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center.
